Ziggy
Mare, 4yo, Perlino, TWH/KyMt
Ziggy is a sweet little mare. She is 4 years old, 14.2hh and still has some growing to do. She was bred to win ribbons just like her sire did, and she will capture hearts in any discipline. She loves people and attention. She stands for the trimmer, loads in the trailer, no bite or kick, doesn't flinch at a spray bottle, loves her blanket, tolerates baths.
Her sire was a champion Tennessee Walker, her dam was a Kentucky Mountain horse. She was born premature and spent her first months in a hospital. She became very familiar with being handled by humans.
Ziggy came to us in July as an owner surrender. She was well cared for, neither neglected or abused. Life changes made it impossible for her owner to give her her best life, so we were asked to assist in finding Ziggy a person who could provide the future this little gem deserves.
Ziggy has spent the last 4 years in a pasture with a stall for bad weather and another young mare for companionship. She is still young and does some silly things. Here at Braided Manes she has been turned out with older mares and geldings to teach her some horsey manners.
