4yo, Quarter type mare, 14.2hh, Flea-Bitten Gray
Fiona was part of a large rescue operation in Toledo in 2022. She was 2 years old, neglected and underfed. She had an infection from an untreated cut, lots of swelling and she was basically shut down. After her initial vet visit she was put on a re-feeding program. She was adopted April 2022 and loved back to health.
Unfortunately, life changes caused her to be returned to Braided Manes in October of 2022. However, she did receive quality care and patient handling while she was away.
It was a good start.
In January, 2023, Fiona was adopted again and went to be a companion to Ziggy. The two of them were turned out and given time to grow. She was handled often and learned to stand well for trims. Again, life took a turn and Fiona was returned to Braided Manes along with Ziggy in July, 2024.
Fiona is a very easy going young horse. Not much bothers her. She enjoys human company and is willing to try just about anything. She will make someone a trust worthy mount with the proper training. And she is more than ready to start now. She has had some basic ground work. She is just waiting to connect with the right person.
